Copyright & Disclaimer
Welcome to the Migration Heritage Project Incorporated (MHP)
website. This website has been developed and made accessible with
a view to encouraging the public availability of information.
Despite the relatively unregulated nature of the Internet, there
are nevertheless a few matters which you should bear in mind when
visiting our site.
The MHP site, and any links from it to third-party sites, has
been developed to promote a range of views, opinions and stories
as a way of reflecting the culturally diverse migration history
of the Illawarra. We encourage the public availability and the
free exchange of information so that people can learn more about
the diversity of experiences and cultures around them particularly
pertaining to the Illawarra Region. You should, therefore, bear
in mind that some material which appears at the MHP site and any
linked sites may possibly cause offence or upset to some people.
The MHP regrets, but cannot take responsibility for, any such
offence or upset caused. In the event that you are offended or
upset by the material which appears at an Internet website, you
are entitled to lodge a complaint with the Australian Broadcasting
Authority (ABA), who will then investigate the complaint and take
such action as it thinks fit. If you would like to know more about
the ABA's role in regulating Australian Internet content, you
can visit its website at www.aba.gov.au.
The MHP endeavours to promote a free exchange of opinion and
information, it does not necessarily endorse or support the views,
opinions, standards or information which appear at this site or
any linked sites. You should also not interpret the absence of
a link from the site to any other site as a criticism or comment
by the MHP on the provider or content of that other site. For
your convenience, links to other web sites have been inserted
but do not constitute endorsement of material at those sites,
or any associated organisation, product or service.
Unfortunately, the MHP cannot warrant and does not represent
that the material which appears at the MHP site or any linked
sites is complete, current, reliable and/or free from error. The
MHP also cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any
loss, damage, cost or expense you might incur as a result of the
use of or reliance upon the materials which appear at this or
any linked sites. While we make every effort to ensure that the
material on this site is accurate and up-to-date, you should exercise
your own judgment before you rely on it. In any important matter,
you should seek professional advice relevant to your own circumstances.
You should be aware that the providers of linked sites will often
have their own protocols and standards in relation to their sites
and the information which appears at them. We urge you to familiarise
yourself with any such protocols and standards.
Please note that some material on this site includes views or
recommendations of third parties, which do not necessarily reflect
the views of the MHP, or indicate its commitment to particular
course of action. The MHP endeavours to verify the accuracy of
the information that has been provided by third parties.
